Description
The TL-SG108E Gigabit Easy Smart switch with 8 ports is an ideal upgrade for an unmanaged switch and is designed for SMB networks with simple network management. The network administrator can efficiently monitor traffic using port mirroring, loop prevention, and cable diagnostics features. To optimize traffic over your corporate network, the TL-SG108E offers both port-based and tag-based QoS, ensuring that delay-sensitive traffic is processed smoothly and without interruption. Additionally, port-based and tag-based MTU VLAN can provide better security and meet the demand for more network segmentation. Thanks to its innovative energy-saving technology, the TL-SG108E can save up to 80% on power consumption, making it an eco-friendly solution for your corporate network.
Simple and effective management
The TL-SG108E gigabit easy smart switch from TP-LINK offers network monitoring that allows the administrator to control traffic. Using port mirroring, loop prevention, and cable diagnostics, the TL-SG108E can identify and even locate connection issues in your corporate network. The system administrator can prioritize traffic based on port priorities and 802.1P priorities, ensuring that voice and video are always clear, smooth, and without delay. Furthermore, the TL-SG108E supports MTU VLAN, port-based VLAN, and 802.1Q-based VLAN features to improve network security and performance. The TL-SG108E is an upgrade for the plug-and-play unmanaged switch, well worth the money spent and also offers great benefits for the network and the end user.
Go green with your ethernet
Now you have the choice to go green when upgrading to a gigabit network! The new generation of the TL-SG108E gigabit easy smart switch with 8 ports is equipped with the latest energy-efficient technologies that increase your network capacity and significantly reduce power consumption. Power usage is automatically adjusted according to connection status and cable length to minimize your network's CO2 footprint.
Disabling inactive ports
When a computer or network device is turned off, the corresponding port on a traditional switch continues to consume significant amounts of power. The TL-SG108E can automatically check each port's connection status and reduce power consumption for ports that are not active.
Power budget by cable length
Ideally, a shorter cable would consume less power and experience less power loss. However, this is not the case with most devices, as they consume the same amount of power through the cable, whether it is 10 or 50 meters long. The TL-SG108E analyzes the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts power consumption accordingly, rather than in a conventional way based on energy use.
Easy to use
The TL-SG108E is easy to use and manage. Auto MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports ensures that crossover cables or uplink ports are no longer needed. Auto-negotiation on each port detects the connection speed of a network device (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and adjusts it for optimal compatibility and performance. Due to its compact size, it is ideal for placement on a desk or in a rack, practical and secure. The dynamic LED indicators show the current status and diagnose any errors.
